We believe that clothing is part of self- discipline, an essential element for ballet education.
The costume of the course
- Ballet shoes should be soft, made of leather or cloth, with a skin bottom and sewn little rubber bands for the feet to be held back. They must also be precisely fit around the foot of every student ballarine.
- Pointes are special shoes for exercising on the edges of the toes and are proper for ages over ten years old.
- Hair must be held on a classical hair bun, or upwards on the head in another way, so as not to be an obstacle during the exerises and not to cover the neck's movements.
- Jewellery, watches and chew gums are not allowed in class.
- The students should be on time, about 10 minutes before class, clean and in good care.
The clothing code of the School in the basic classes is the following:
The shoes we wear in dance class should NOT be worn outside the ballroom!
